The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development
Complex at Bet-Dagan
|
The Centre for International Agricultural Development Cooperation (CINADCO)
of Israel’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development operates as the main
professional and operational arm for Israel’s development assistance agency of
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Centre for International Cooperation
(MASHAV).
|
CINADCO’s headquarters is located at the Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development Complex, situated in Bet Dagan on the
outskirts of Tel Aviv, Israel.
|
Agriculture has been the major component of Israel's international cooperation
program since its establishment in the late 1950s’, aiming primarily to share
its agricultural development experience with the rest of the developing world.
The programs focus on combining sound professional experience with practical
field level orientation. Moreover, the prime development concept has been a
practical bottom-up approach, focusing on professional, technological and
practical know-how cooperation with the developing world.

Israel is pursuing the objective to preserve and improve the agro-ecosystem. In
the midst of the current global environment crisis, there is an urgent need to
reach sustainable management of natural resources. Israel’s international
agricultural development cooperation program pursues this need, through
improved agro-ecological methods and adequate agriculture development
practices, with a strong and continuous link to the country’s own professional
and practical agricultural development experience.
|
In this context, CINADCO offers professional services in those
subjects where Israel’s own experience reflects identified technological
strengths in agricultural and environmental subjects. These services range from
crop and livestock-production technologies, irrigation and water saving methods
and systems, farm management, forestry and agro-ecology to Research and
Development (R&D), agricultural extension, supporting systems, agribusiness
consulting services, development of arid and semi-arid regions and other
related topics.
|
The hallmark of CINADCO activities is sharing agricultural
experience by the integration of research, extension and demonstration project
development. Its overall activities include:
|
| * |
International human resource training in specialized and practical courses and
seminars held in Israel. |
| * |

Through its integrated professional and practical development approach, CINADCO
shares its professional and operational capabilities with grassroots
agricultural populations and institutional organizations to assist and enhance
the global agenda for agricultural sustainable development and overall economic
